The Gate: A new $700 million project in Frisco

By Candace Carlisle, Dallas Business Journal

If Dubai-based Invest Group Overseas CEO Anas Kozbari could sum up his $700 million, 41-acre project in Frisco into one word, he’d use the word: Niche.

“Niche does not mean expensive,” said Kozbari, who is heavily involved in his firm’s pilot U.S. project in Frisco — called The Gate — which could determine if the Dubai-based investment firm puts more funds into this country’s real estate. “Niche means classy and will speak the minds and the hearts of the people.”

The Gate, which could expand in the future. is going through a master planning process, which could bring 800,000 square feet of office space, 100,000 square feet of retail space, a 90-room hotel room, park, apartments and two, 10-story luxury condo towers to Frisco near the new site for the Dallas Cowboys headquarters and practice facility.
